Galway Bay provides the most spectacular and exciting cruising ground on the West coast of Ireland. From the bustling seaport of Galway City to the quiet village harbors that surround the bay, we are blessed with scenery, destinations, anchorages and open sea. And just within reach we have the beautiful island communities of Inis Mor, Inis Meain, Inisheer and Inish Boffin.

GBSC club members engage in regular competitive racing around the bay throughout the season. Additionally a number of more relaxed cruising events are organized by the fleet, taking sailors to the islands and beyond. Galway maintains a close relationship with its twin city of Lorient in France and many boats have made the voyage there and back.

If you think you might be interested in joining a crew or having your own boat, come on down and talk with us. We welcome all sailors, young and old, expert and novice.
Friday night sailing is the perfect opportunity to sail in company. We welcome everyone to try their hand on boats of all sizes.

You don't need a boat to sail, just turn up on the pier from 6pm Fridays to join a boat. And afterwards join us for BBQ at the GBSC clubhouse overlooking Galway Bay!
